What is Zithromax Z-Pak used for?
Azithromycin does not affect CYP isoenzymes. There is no evidence that azithromycin, unlike most other macrolides, interacts with any agents to produce clinically significant adverse effects3.
Can you drink alcohol while taking Z-pack?
Alcohol does NOT interact with azithromycin1. As mentioned above, azithromycin has a very low potential for interactions. Although doctors do not advise mixing antibiotics with alcohol, azithromycin (Zithromax, Z-pak) will be effective, despite the alcohol consumption.
